One of Connect One’s main products are iChips with the help of which any “non-PC” device can be provided quickly and affordably with the capability of connecting to an IP-based network or the Internet. The new components connect the application with the respectively chosen transmission hardware (GSM/GPRS, Ethernet, WIFI or modem), assume data handling chores, serve as a firewall and if necessary also support configuration of the application with integrated web servers. | |
Just a few days ago, Connect One presented a reference design based on the iChip CO2128 and the Enabler III GSM/GRPS module by enfora. The "Secure IP Controller" CO2128 supports the SSL3/TLS1 security protocol, takes charge of all protocol handling chores, and controls the GSM/GPRS module via AT commands for access to the Internet. The iChip CO2128 supports the following functions: | • HTTP client
• 2 HTTP webserver (configuration, application)
• FTP and Telnet Clients
• Secure FTP Client (via SSL3)
• DHCP client and server
• Text-based E-mails (send and receive, also with MIME file attachments)
• RAS Server
